Urief 4 mg is the brand name for silodosin tablets containing 4 mg per tablet, manufactured by Kissei Pharmaceutical in Japan. It belongs to the selective alpha-1 blocker class, developed specifically to treat the urinary symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia.

What distinguishes silodosin is its selectivity for alpha-1A receptors, the subtype densely present in the smooth muscle of the prostate, bladder neck, and proximal urethra.
