Bepanthen First Aid is a first-aid antiseptic cream made by Bayer, combining two active ingredients: Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride, a broad-spectrum antiseptic that reduces bacteria on the wound, and Dexpanthenol, which the skin converts to vitamin B5 to support new cell growth and reinforce the skin barrier. The steroid-free, colourless, fragrance-free formula is gentle enough for open wounds. Its light texture absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, unlike some heavier antiseptic ointments.

Used on small wounds at risk of infection, such as scrapes from a fall, shallow cuts, minor burns or scalds, dry cracked skin, and fresh tattoo or piercing sites that have not fully closed.
