• Severe drop in blood pressure — especially when combined with antihypertensives

Key note: Back pain and muscle aches are more specific to Tadalafil than Sildenafil, typically occurring 12–24 hours after dosing.

Do not use:

• Nitrate medications of any kind (Nitroglycerin, Isosorbide dinitrate/mononitrate) — may cause life-threatening hypotension
• Allergy to Tadalafil or any component of the medication
• Heart attack or stroke within the past 90 days
• Low blood pressure (below 90/50 mmHg)
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure (above 170/100 mmHg)

Use with caution:

• Alpha-blockers (e.g., Doxazosin) — must be stabilised before starting Tadalafil
• Severe liver or kidney impairment — dose reduction may be needed
• Conditions affecting erection, such as Peyronie's disease
• Do not combine with other PDE-5 Inhibitors
